Beauty is not only relegated to nature and the natural environment, it can also be found in human design and man-made structures. Go visit any city, and walk and look up everywhere you go. Human made monuments can be impressive and beautiful in their own right. I had always wanted to visit the new Salesforce Park in San Francisco, next to Salesforce Tower and the redesigned Transbay Bus Terminal, and was completely blown away by the impressive design of the park that showcases over 50 species of trees and over 230 species of understory plants. There are 12 distinct gardens that represent native plants to regions around the world. I loved how the massive garden plants in the Prehistoric Region mirrored the mammoth immensity of the surrounding buildings. Pick a city, and plan a walk to discover the unique beauty each city possesses, and remember to look up!
